Drapers' Academy has been praised by Ofsted as 'Good' in all areas.
The report praises the school’s high standards of teaching, strong leadership, and the happy, inclusive environment that supports pupils to thrive. Inspectors highlighted how pupils are “safe and their individual needs are well understood,” while staff were commended for their dedication, care, and support for pupils.
The Ofsted team found all areas of the Academy: Leadership and Management, Quality of Education, Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes and the Sixth Form, to be rated 'Good'.
Principal Gillian Dineen said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our Ofsted inspection. This is a huge recognition of the hard work, commitment, and passion shown every day by our staff, students, families, and wider community. It’s a proud moment for everyone involved.”
Comments from the Ofsted report included:
"The school is highly ambitious for their pupils. Pupils follow a broad and well-considered curriculum, including in the sixth form."
"The school’s high expectations of behaviour are clear and well understood. Pupils learn what it means to be a pupil of Drapers’ and to embody the school’s values of kindness, respect and purpose."
"Pupils follow a well-sequenced personal, social, health and economic education curriculum. This is sharply focused on the needs of the pupils and includes a range of workshops, assemblies and guest speakers."
